Hari-Krishna Stomp Wagon (Fuck Led Zeppelin)

I think the "fuck led zeppelin" subtitle is probably kind of a joke... Around the time this song came out they were known to break out Led Zeppelin covers live (the Finally The Punk Rockers Are Taking Acid set features them doing "Thank You" and "Communication Breakdown"). I'm sure Zeppelin weren't hugely appreciated by 80's underground rock listeners, so maybe they heard a lot of audience shouts of "fuck led zeppelin!" when they started the opening chords of "Thank You" and threw it in as a private joke.

lol this is definitely a joke. i saw the flaming lips this summer and they covered the song remains the same with naked chicks on stage. it was awesome. and this is a ginormous understatement.

Also it should be noted this riff is very Zeppelin-esque, the song is arranged very much like "Heartbreaker" or some of Zep's riff-heavy songs. I think it's clear the Lips were influenced, and using Zep as a basis, and the title was their way of being funny.

Hey, how about you go fuck yourself. Led Zeppelin is amazing. Granted a lot of there stuff isn't some narration on humanity or quest to create true "art" they are still a great band. Besides they examine love quite a bit, "gonna give you every inch of my love." Nice.

Again, go fuck yourself, and that's about it. Oh, and if Wayne Cohen is pretenious enough to bash a band such as Zeppelin then I've lost a vast amount of respect for him.
