It means that he's falling in love again, even though he swore he'd never trust another girl with his heart. But she's different, she changed the whole way he thinks about love. She sort of healed him in a way. He misses her to death when they aren't with each other and i think he's realizing exactly how fast he's falling.

The whole "you gave me butterflies at the mailbox" thing is from a letter his girlfriend wrote him. She would sneak out at night and they would meet at the mailbox and talk. She wrote him a letter that said you gave me butterflies at the mailbox.
Ok, to clear up the whole "butterflies at the mailbox" line....one of the members of the band wrote that because I (his girlfriend) used to send him letters and cards because we were in a long distance relationship since we first started dating (I live in New York, he lives in Maryland). He never knew when he was going to receive something from me so the anticipation of going to the mailbox every day gave him butterflies because of the idea or possibility of something being there for him.

actually, I'm not...there used to be a few different members in the band when "And ther name was treason" (which contains this particular song we are discussing) came out as opposed to the other members that are in it now. If you were smart, you would be able to tell that there are two different singers between the albums. Email them, I bet you'll get the same answer

this song was introduced to me by my boyfriend. simply put it's beautiful. this song reminds me our relationship to a tee. we've been having to go with the whole long distance thing for a little over a year. the distance kills, its horrible. the line "I'm missing you so much, I'll see you die tonight, Just so I can get to you before the sun will rise," really hits home. our relationship has taken years to start/create, we both have had turbulent pasts of scandals and bad relationships and came out thinking we'd " never trust anyone again" but found each other and everything completely changed. he "had me at hello" and still does. this song just "gives me butterflies" every time i hear it. the world could fall apart and i'd be still be happy if i were in his arms.

It's an amazing song, I can't ever seem to find lyrics like these in songs that still sound good, only I don't get the first two lines. Can someone please explain?
