move on now Lyrics

Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now
Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on no

Lookin' out my bedroom window
I see the planes take off from Heathrow
One by one they come and go
On and on
On and on
I think about the places I'd go
I think about this place I call home
All the shots and all the calm
All around
All around

Red lights blinking in the twilight
Tracing out a path right out of here and now
Red lights blinking in the twilight
Tracing out a path right out of here and now

Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now
Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now

Don't you think it's quiet around here?
Doesn't seem so much to do here
Think about this to last year
Good times
Good times
Good times
Don't you think we stayed for too long?
Don't you think the colour has gone?
Get on a plane it can't be wrong
Moving on
Moving on

Red Lights blinking in the twilight
Tracing out a path right out of here and now
Red Lights blinking in the twilight
Tracing out a path right out of here an now

Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now
Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now
Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now
Baby Baby
I think it's time we move on now

Baby, Baby
Baby, Baby

Baby, Baby
I think it's time we move on now.

i bought the cd while on my stay in bristol, and was listening it on my way back to the boring and grey prague, and i would do anything just to be able to stay in england. when back in prague, these lyrics just express everything. it really is time to move on. it's all about the desire to leave the place you have to be in, replace it for something better and maybe a new chance there. obviously.

It's about moving on from a location, but for me, hearing it for the first time today, when I sing it, I sing it with my ex-love in mind. We had a great love, and he moved on sooner than me. I am finally moving on too, and this song helps me feel it. Farewell old love, and in with the new part of my life. Hard-Fi's music is wonderfully powerful.

I'm listening to this song right now, kind of thinking of the irony.

This guy is singing about how he feels that he has to leave England and move on to somewhere better. He doesn't know where he should move on to, but there's a "red light blinking in the twilight tracing out a path right out of here and now."

The song means so much to me, because I'm sitting here feeling like I also have to move on, but I want to move on to England, heh (while he's dying to get out of there). And you just sit there and think about how you want to move on, but you also get nostalgic, thinking about all your good times. It's like you start to think to yourself, "man, there's never going to be good times like these anymore," so you just keep remembering them to comfort yourself.

I love this song. It's the perfect description of someone who's ready for the next part of his/her life.

I can't put this album down at the moment. This is one powerful song. His relationships either just ended or coming to the end and it seems like it was his decision, but he's a bit uncertain about the whole thing....He's seen good times in his home town (Feltham right?) but now his girls going or gone it seems deathly dull and quiet (a deafening silence: sums up a split with someone you loved perfectly)...The only way to escape the memories of the good times (this time last year) and the void in his life is to fly away some place and perhaps make a new life....How do I know all this? Cos this bloke is me but in a different town.

This song breaks my heart and will always remind me of trying to get over my girlfriend of 6 and a half years who has just moved out, but at the same time makes me feel positive too......Like the singer this was my decision and I can remember lots of good times. Its the finality of it all that hits you. Knowing life will never be the same and you won't be as one with that person ever again. Thats when you feel like flying away, but this time round I know its right we're apart.
