Heres a shot in the dark. I think maybe he's talking about this girl he likes or is "Mad for" that makes him feel like he's been frozen by her (like Medusas gaze, hence making her Medusa). The "hung up on how it feels to be a ceramic" attests to this idea of being turned to stone/ceramic by her gaze. I don't really know, cause there's still a lot of stuff I'm not addressing. Someone else do it.

alright. this song is actually more straightforward than you are making it out to be. while visiting a friend at Illinois State in Normal ( where TJV was founded) i found the answer in bloomington....Medusa's Adult World. there ya go. the song is about an adult bookstore. that book store thing is actually pretty funny... i think a lot of times we make lyrics out to be bigger than they actually are... but i mean lyrics speak differently to each different person, and thats what makes music so wonderful... i mean, what i thought the song meant, and finding out that it was written about a porn shop basically.. ha lol
