I used to think the words were "You saw the light, you soar, you soar. You shall no more [walk?] a one way street." Actually, those lyrics got to me and made the song even more inspiring. I could just lay on my floor meditating/breathing to this song. I love how humble the Sigur Rosers were to not try and interfere with the holiness that compelled them to create this. They are such messengers of something beyond. I'm so grateful to them for not attempting to write lyrics for this one, they would have fallen so short to the feelings that this experience witholds.

man this is one of the greatest first tracks i have heard. it sounds like some far and distant powerful life form in a great struggle.

this song reminds me of "echoes" by pink floyd for some reason

This is what music is all about. No catchy chorus or rap break downs just amazing music. the band sound like 1 band not a band and a singer. sigur ros are breath taking.

This song has lyrics? I can't hear any words in it anywhere...besides maybe the high-pitched screams in the background, but those don't really sound like words as much as noises. Are you thinking of the 10-minute instrumental opening track from Von?

Those are the lyrics to Hoppipolla, not "Sigur Ros" which is the name of the opening track on their first album, Von

Echoes! yes! I made that same connection.

This song is sung in icelandic and it has lyrics:

I hate when people say that this song is in hopelandic. NO. it's english. Sigur ros DOES sing in english on occasion, and this is one of the songs in which they do such a thing.
