I think this song is about a boy (possibly about Willy Mason himself?) who doesn't really understand or have peoples obsessions with things like the internet and mobile phones, he just enjoys the simple pleasures of music. Also, he is not really understood by the world around him, except when he plays his music because everything is simplified and he doesn't need to be anything that he's not in order to impress people.

I think that line is about the fact that he "lost all of his friends" and therefore has no one to talk to about his problems, he only has his guitar to turn to.
This song is one of my favourite on the cd, it's an amazing song
I agree with Ms. Misery, for some reason though the guitar sounds sort of jazzy to me
The song is about a friend of Willy's who committed suicide. He was a musician and artist, the cover of the album is a painting by the subject of the song. (Pretty sure this is detailed in the sleeve notes of the album)
