i think this song is about a guy who is so close to commiting suicide (well his life is pretty fucked up), but this one chick makes him (appears to be the ex girlfriend/ love of his life) yeah, well she stop him from ending his life just by smiling ect. ilove the line 'Yeah you broke my fucking heart but I still want you' theres so much emotion in it an awasome song!!!!

There are many inerpretations to this song I could jot down but at the end of the day we buy or download music not for the shoes the artists are in (yes it is interesting though) but the way the songs connect with us.

My meaning for this song is what it means to me, which is as follows: I grew up in an emotionally rough environment of social outkastation. To escape those "enimies" I found a so called sancuary in porn and sexual experimentation. This is open a door to "Lovers and whores". The true love of my life came walking around and pulled me out of that fake love "You loved me more..." "I see things clearer, it's all smoke and mirrors". She came to leave me (long story) "You broke my fucking heart but I still want you" and there is that temptaion of delving back into that old lifestyle, and when I occassionally do the aftertaste is brutal and it sucks because I resisted is for so long "Look how close I've come".

Music is the ultimate way to communicate any sweet concord of mind!

i think it's about finding someone who is worth changing your life for.

however i think it's an uphill battle, and he is at a point where he is just so frustrated that the song isn't really romantic, it's more simplistic and "take it or leave it."

I think this song is about a long term relationship gone bad. The house metaphor is, of course, the beginning of the relationship. She made him feel safe and he loved more than all the women before.

Then she probably cheated on him (the unanswered questions, the smoke and mirrors) and now he is thinking about how close he has come to seriously commiting himself to that person and about how far away he is from ever feeling that way about someone again.
