Six Bar Phrase Hey Hey Lyrics
I would be a liar
I would be the poorest saint
Clipped like an angel in the arms of a gentleman
Clipped like an angel in the arms of a gentleman
Cover this wind like he was an angel
Cover this wind like he was an angel
And all the old mustangs with boxes for tops.
I would be the poorest saint
Clipped like an angel in the arms of a gentleman
Clipped like an angel in the arms of a gentleman
Cover this wind like he was an angel
Cover this wind like he was an angel
And all the old mustangs with boxes for tops.

well... the musical phrase in this song, which is repeated 3 times, has 6 measures of 4/4 in it. so it has a 6 bar phrase, whereas most songs have 2 or 4 or 8. so... 6 bar phrase... hey hey...
short and sweet, easily one of my favorite songs on the cd, despite it's brevity.
thank you to jonbash for the song title meaning....
can anybody find the actual lyrics? or are there repeats that aren't marked in?
"Rich People say fuck yeah hey hey"
Material wealth means success to rich people. This has replaced heaven as most people's ultimate goal... or maybe it's a way to achieve that goal, too.
"Cover this wind like he was an angel," Wind could mean mortality... as long as your material wealth is around to be an extension of yourself mortality doesn't mean shit to you. Old mustangs = transportation, boxes for tops = cars. Cover our belongings when we're dead... they somehow are part of us, so they should be put away.
I don't know... Just my interpretation. :]
