Anyone know what this song means/is about?

I think this song is about a boy who sees a girl who is going through a lot emotionally, but she still goes on with life and is seeing life as a new adventure everyday. The boy wants to be like her because, although he is not going through everything he is, he sees the world as a waste of time. He wants her strength to get through each day.

i think this songs about God. i liked it better when i thought it was about a girl but now im almost positive its about religion. i think the part about the girl is just talking about a girl whos really into church. that parts a little sketchy to me, but the rest could 100% be talking about God and church, where people go on "sundays."

This is mostly about a couple who is splitting apart, mainly because of the girl. The guy still wants to stay together, "maybe i need to listen more carefully". The girl, who has turned into a bit of a bad person, wants not to keep her horrid boyfriend but, instead, to be one of those ladies in church, "in her sunday dress/humming simple melodies she's known since she was only three".

I like it though. Mostly the story it tells. Not the best chords... and the singer seems to be a bit of a poser.

I believe this song is talking about a guy and a girl dealing with a breakup, and the girl is being strong. the guy is admiring a girl for her strength in dealing with the problems that she is going through.

--The guy is amazed at how the girl can "lift the heavy bricks and build a path for him to walk on" so he can come back to her. She is dealing with the pain of the break up and at the same time working on getting him back. She is "carving herself in the stones", she believes that they will be together forever (as if she is carving herself permanatly into his life). Despite the fact that "her skin is still as thin as his." she is still dealing with the pain of the breakup. He does'nt understand how she believes the things that she believes (the fact that everything will be okay, and that they will get back together). He thinks he should listen more carefully so he can understand her beliefs.

--he says he finally knows how she stands against the worst there is.. he realizes that she can stand up against anything if she sticks to what she believes.

--"when she dreams, she sees herself in her sunday dress humming simple melodies that she's known since she was only three." ...to escape the pain, she dreams to go back to a time when there was no pain. Where she could just dress up and go to church and sing songs of God's love and happiness. That way she doesnt have to live with the pain.

--Basically. she is his strength. he only wishes to be as strong as her in dealing with everything.

I think this song fits a song about a relationship. But it fits religon way better.

Like a tribute to God or somthing. Especially the first verse.
