this song is clearly about a realtionship that keeps going through the same phases. "and here we go again, with all those things you said and not a minute spent to think that we'd regret so we just take it back" probably is about the things they might of said in a fight, thinking they wouldnt regret what they said, but then they do so they take it back. and "i'll write to let you know, that i'm alright can't say i'm sad to see you go, cause i'm not." shes saying that she'll probably keep in contact, saying shes fine and how everything is going and then when he leaves shes not going to be upset, but glad and shes trying to reassure herself of that.

When they sing this live they have an extended ending with the lyrics being:

i think its funny no one really knows thats from atd-I. I came on here to see if anyone caught that. The're not the exact words but close enough to tell where they got it from. But i thought it was cool they did that atd-i is one of my favorite bands. You guys should check them out if you havent very different stuff haha.

To me, it can be interpreted in two ways. The first could be about a boyfriend. It seems like they promised to be "together forever" and that didn't happen. But...it sounds like she's happy with that and will even let him know how she's doing from time to time.

The second way I just thought of a few minutes ago. I got into a fight with my ex best friend. And this song just reminds me of her. I'm not upset that she's not in my life anymore, but if she still cares I'll let her know how I'm doing every once in a while.

But...yeah. That's just my personal interpretation of the song

i think this song is about a relationship gone wrong (as they all are... haha), but she doesn't care. she's reflecting back on the times they argued, and now that he's going she's saying she's not that bothered:

it sounds to me like the singer's boyfriend is breaking up with her, and shes trying to convince him that she doesnt care either way. in the chorus when she says, "I'll write you just to let you know That I'm alright Can't say I'm sad to see you go Cause I'm not (well I'm not) well I'm not" it sounds like shes basically saying, "I'm just letting you know that I'm okay, if you care...I'm not sad we're breaking up..." but the "Well im not" sounds like she's trying to reassure herself that she really doesnt care when she knows she does.
