I'll take a stab at this one but don't quote me on it:

From the lyrics, I'd say it's about how the world has gone down the shitter in terms of people being respected and accepted for what they are.

"You are beautiful, no matter what they say". For example, a guy dressed in fully gothic outfit can walk down the street and be called things that can really upset him, but at the end of the day, he's still a human and should be accepted no matter how he is. But that doesn't happen, so the line is sort of a message to people who aren't accepted because of their physical appearrance to not let it bring them down and to get on with life because if they take such people on, they're just gonna give them what they want, and the world will remain what it is now, which is not good.

"Tired childish games swept us all away". People don't really think into why they make life hell for others. For most, they have no real problem with how their victim looks, yet they do it anyway? Why? Who knows. Maybe because that's what society accepts now, someone who belittles someone else purely on physical appearance. Or maybe they're just looking for something to do. Either way, it's as if the offenders are, well, tired and childish, and the "games" are the people abusing others, which have swept everyone away.

"What have we done?" This could mean two things. It could be from the victim's point of view, as in "what have I done to deserve all this, I just wanna be me", or it could be in a general point of view as in "what have we done, what have we turned this world into?".

So yeah, basically I'd say this song is about how violent and disrespectful this world has become, and how people don't feel safe to walk the streets looking a certain way anymore because they feel they'll be attacked.

Like I said, don't quote me on this but I'd say it makes sense.

This song really makes you think. Its so open and emotional and it makes me cry- i love it. I think that Matt was trying to tell someone that although they may not think it, they really are a great person. All FFAFS songs are really emotional and the lyrics always make you think about life. This song in particular although makes me want to cry it also makes me feel a little better about myself because im going through a tough time with bullies and this song just makes me feel a little better.

Hence: You are beautiful, no matter what they say

FFAFS songs give me that extra little push i need to get through the day. I want to kill myself sometimes but its my music (mainly FFAF) that stops me. All i live for now is music. Without my music i wouldnt have anything to stop me killing myself. Thats how strong FFAFs music is. ROCK ON FFAF.

This song could have so many different meanings, I imagine when Matt wrote it he was aiming to hit a spot in everyone, the whole song is just so open.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of Sonny Moore and From First To Last. It's funny...

this song is so great. When i first heard the electronic drums at the beginning, and the "you are beautiful, no matter what they say" i thought "oh god. its a christina uglyera cover..." but then i realised it wasnt. This is such a great song. I love the bit toward the end where the real drums come in. perfect. no idea wat its about tho.

Ahaha i think of Sonny Moore too. Still, one of the best songs ever, makes me cry and i dont even know what its about. Only a truly great band can be that powerful. Rock on forever FFAF.

i dont know what its about either and yeah sonny moore comes to my mind too...it cant be about him but still thats pretty funny...this song is beatiful i'll leave it at that

To me it sounds more like this song is about a certain person, a very personal song. A person that is so insecute that he or she can't even realize how amazing they really are. "Sing it out.. Sing it out for all of us."

Personal opinon only.. Based on my own feeling when hearing this song only.. Amazing song btw, gets to me everytime. FFAF rocks.
