i think its about a guy dying on his deathbed in a hospital, wishing he would die. and towards the end of the song he realizes he is dying and pleads god to forgive cuz he isnt a 'martyr'

man this song is beautifulla, much more mature and heartfelt than they're older schtuff "is this the cause im looking for???" beatifulla. Ok meaning time...hmmm from reading the lyrics its obviously about some guy who has winded up in hospital (like the name ;)) probably on his death bed yet he wishes to die in a dignified way rather than be in pain and lifeless. Cant work out any deeper meaning or hidden meaning maby its about someone Matt knew? xX
common man leave muchos comments, the more i listen to this song jeez its such a triumph. Alot of fans wont like the new stuff but ffaf deserve alot of respect for the move they've taken. They're no longer 'another emo band' they have left the rule here, NICE ONE GUYS! xX
It's about Matts time in hospital from working so hard, and his recovery and how he realised what he was doing with his life, and he felt that he was letting some of the other band down, but it was from situations that were out of his hands.
I agree with you Zedzed, they've changed their style quite a bit, but they've still got the old FFAF traits in their music. They've matured, and I think they've gone onto another level

This whole album is a complete turn around from the last.. I think its amazing how ffaf can change their style and still pull it off.. third album and they're still amazing. the new album is great along with the others, they better not be planning on quiting anytime soon..id be pissed

I think at the start of the song he wants to die, rather than be in what ever state he is in now, yet he can't pull it off.
And towards the end of the song he realises he has possibly more to live for, and is asking for forgivenessm or something.
Matt contracted mono while recording the album and developed an absess (sp?) in his throat which almost choked him to death. he wrote this while he was in the hospital--this is an awesome song though
