Of course this song is about casual sex. I'm going to rant about some idealogy for a second.

casual sex pisses me off, I accept it of course because everyone does it but I don't even want to kiss a girl that I don't have feelings for. I don't want to have sex with anyone I don't love. I don't see lust as anything more than another drug another high, I can resist it, most seem not to be able to. "ike sitting in the back seat (it's all the rage) and boring me with your body (it's all the rage)" Amen to that. There is sooooooo much more than the sexual part of too people hooking up. It's like I just want something more than hooking up with my girlfriend. I want the feelings to back up the actions something lost in our society.

Now if you can take this crazy idealogly that I have an see how I live that part of my life and relate it to this song you can see how meaningful it really is. "Why do we need this Who was it that said Great things come to great men Well that fucker lied to us There's nothing here but a wasteland," I feel like I have tried so hard to be a 'great man' and the promise of the great thing has been reduced to a wasteland because it so common and banal. People have turned what I believe to be one of the greatest things one can experience and truely experience into a game and a dull gerneralization of something very meaningful.

To me this song is all about getting fed-up of trying so hard to be good and stick to the rules, only to see others who live by their own rules do better than yourself. :'-(

only a guess here but the part "I'm sick and i'm tired of always being the good guy" makes me think this song is about being afraid of being who you really are and just sticking to the rule (like FfaF have NOT done with Hours). Absolute gold song xX

The beauty of music though, is although a band can write a song relating to one particular thing, people can relate to lines and a song in general in so many different ways

I agree with Ben ffaf. The way you can lift certain lines from songs and fit them into parts of your life is the best thing about music. This song is one of the best openers i've ever heard...it's the part where he sings "let's not last the night" and the drums just pound that gets me...I just love the way that sounds...it's simple but I fucking love it!

this song is absolutely amazing as is the whole album.I love the way songs can mean one thing and refer to another aspect of your life,FFAF are focking amazing at this, just saw them last nite ,they were amazing, wow

i saw them live a couple of weeks ago and as much as i was looking forward to it, it was shit. they're an amazing band and all three of their albums are brilliant but they played all the wrong songs and the sound was too loud, you could hardly hear matt. he started giving out about it after monsters, trying to make a joke out of it but you could tell he was well pissed off!! great song by the way, the riff at the start is great...
