I think there are two separate people- one is "not born to lose", appearing in the second paragraph/stanza, and the other is free of fear, appearing in the first stanza. We don't know what they're competing over and we don't know who wins. The title could be about either of them.
yup title pretty much sums up how stoned members were at the time...the title should be im not born to lose
