Razor

Just as with any song it's left to the listener to interpret. I'm sure that for those dealing with self-mutilation it will be a song about that to them. But I think

"Make up your mind
 I need to know
 I need to know tonight"

Pretty much gives the meaning.

The razor is a person. The singer is in love or cares very much for a person and is waiting for this person to make up their mind.

 “Sweet and devine

 Razor of mine
 Day after day
 Cuttin' away
 Day after day
 But anyway”

In the waiting the singer is being repeatedly being cut by disappointments and such- like the person the singer’s waiting for is a razor.

 “Patience, my dear
 We could spend a life time waiting here
 Maybe this time
 I hope I get the chance to say goodbye

When you’re waiting for a person you care deeply about to make up their mind you can get lost in that waiting. You hold on to hope that with time they’ll choose you “Patience my dear”. Before you know it more time has passed than you intended “We could spend a life time waiting here”. “Maybe this time I hope I get the chance to say goodbye.” I think it means hopefully this time I have the strength to walk away if your choice is not me.
