i think this song is about getting someone pregnant....he does love this girl but they made a mistake and now hes dwelling in the conequences

These lines reinforce the idea of unexpected pregnancy. Comparing a girl crying to a pinball machine... That's a genuinely ingenious idea. Just as in these other lines:
"I follow you at a distance Bounced through others eyes Like a pinball machine"
The complications that the event has brought them, most likely family issues and the personal burden a child would represent to them. This scene works either literally or simply metaphorically: he nervously glances at her, aware of all the stares ricocheting from one to the other. I think its just about a problem in a relationship and that the references to pregnancy are coincidental for example when he says "Maybe its all about sowing my seed" he's saying "Is that all there is to a relationship?" Also I think when he say "Like Salvador's dream that its a reference to the surrealist Salvador Dali because dreams tend to be messed up
