As Screams Turn to Silence Lyrics
I watched the walls collapse,
beneath a hollow shell of lies.
Worn paper-thin and stained in black,
fell beneath the fading light.
The shards that penetrate,
the thickest of my skin.
I feel the sting it seperates,
and bleeds my body of its sin.
The darkness that grows inside,
like a cancer that's feeding.
Reflected behind her eyes,
as screams turn to silence.
The sound is deafening,
the hollow voices of regret.
Held like the damned under the flames,
burned against the endless night.
The pain that suffocates,
a prayer escapes my lips.
Force fed the lies,
I'm choking back the bitter taste of what I am.
The darkness that grows inside,
like a cancer that's feeding.
Reflected behind her eyes,
as screams turn to silence.
The pain grows to consume me,
counting the scars left in its wake.
The endless torment of silence,
crashing down it seperates.
The darkness that grows inside,
like a cancer that's feeding.
Reflected behind her eyes,
as screams turn to silence.
beneath a hollow shell of lies.
Worn paper-thin and stained in black,
fell beneath the fading light.
the thickest of my skin.
I feel the sting it seperates,
and bleeds my body of its sin.
like a cancer that's feeding.
Reflected behind her eyes,
as screams turn to silence.
the hollow voices of regret.
Held like the damned under the flames,
burned against the endless night.
a prayer escapes my lips.
Force fed the lies,
I'm choking back the bitter taste of what I am.
like a cancer that's feeding.
Reflected behind her eyes,
as screams turn to silence.
counting the scars left in its wake.
The endless torment of silence,
crashing down it seperates.
like a cancer that's feeding.
Reflected behind her eyes,
as screams turn to silence.

Ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmazing!
He talks about his inner problems and troubles. His pain is locked in and he learns to keep everything to himself, hence 'as screams turn to silence.' He talks about, im assuming, hurting himself, saying 'and bleeds my body of its sin,' maybe saying that he deserves what he does to himself.' Reflected behind her eyes' might be him making a woman sad because of her pain, or maybe that the woman doesn't care or help. Any other ideas?
perfect. amazing vocals on this song.
"Reflected behind her eyes" i think this line sounds more like "reflecting behind your eyes"
it's more a song about love - maybe breaking up
Okay, I'm confused, this band openly stated that they aren't Christian anymore, nor were they ever Christian to begin with, but I detect strong Christian or spiritual feelings and actions in the lyrics. He's talking about sin and prayer, I mean, I know it's most likely just poetic and he's using passive phrasing, but it's really fucking with my brain.
