Princeton Review Lyrics

I liberate
I liberate the cold inside
Camouflaged
But is it all same guy, same guy?

There's a bad scene
Worked up and sterilized
There's a black seed
Choked up and burning

Unfamiliar, unremorseful
That's the way you were
Don't want to bring it up again
That's the way you were
Ohh, well

You raise questions of me
You haunt sections of town

Unfamiliar, unremorseful
That's the way you were
Don't want to bring it up again
That's the way you were
Unfamiliar, unremorseful
That's the way you were
Don't want to bring it up again
That's the way you were

Be this or not I know I don't understand
How this is appropriate
Be this or not and no we don't Understand
How bad at debate we are
And so we freeze
And so we freeze
And so we freeze...

i sounds like some kind of arguement to me "dont want to bring it up again" sounds like hes just trying to end it2 or maybe his girlfriend is cheating on him becuase he says "but is it all the same guy, same guy?"

I think this song is about a guy who is in an ongoing conflict with his significant other over something she did in the past.

He had a big argument over this, and doesn't want to bring it up again, but sometimes he must liberate himself of the cold he feels inside by probing and dissecting the event.

In doing so he freezes their relationship, they cannot grow because all he can think about is her past. She doesn't understand why he keeps bringing it up, and feels assaulted and defensive.

That's my take on it anyhow.

I think you may be exactly right.

I think this song is about finding a person's true personality, and at the same time finding out what you knew about him/her before, were all a charade (That's the way you were) (Be this or not I know I don't understand). This brings a kind of uncertainty to both (And so we freeze).

The title "Princeton Review" leads me to believe this is something in the past, and that the two characters portrayed here continued living on, frozen.

There's a bad scene Worked up and sterilized - sounds like he said vaccine there, which with the sterilized part makes sense, but its kinda hard to make out what he says there

the guitar near the end sounds like something Radiohead would do

I love this song and the whole album.

I also herd Vaccine in that line. It just sounds so much better. And who knows, you cant always rely on these lyrics especially when someone like Mr.Crow is singing. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album but as a whole its a true masterpiece.
