i think is just about a person being just one thing but for him it feels more

My take on these lyrics is almost the opposite to most of the people here, who seem tot think its about murder.

To me, it's not about murder, not in the slightest. It's about being in love and being grateful that the person you're in love with is alive.

"Your skull is red/your bones are red." When you murder someone you don't see their skull or their bones, do you? Probably not. However, everyone who is alive has a red skull and red bones, as blood is passing over them all the time.

to me, it's almost as if he's observing his partner and thinking about how much he loves her. The fact that her fingernails and clothes are red remind him of the blood which keeps her alive, "and it feels good."

The song celebrates lfe, as opposed to celebrating the killing of life....

perhaps about him murdering someone, hence the use of the word "red" about their skull/clothes/lungs. And it feels gold, or good-almost satisfactory, because he's happy he did it.

similar lyrical concept to "Digital Bath" if that's indeed what this is about.

Chino's greatest characteristic is probably his ability to make a song have a certain positive vibe but a negative meaning. he does it alot with his songs.

alot of his love songs are really angry and heavy sounding and alot of his uplifting sounding songs are about malicious type things like murder or abuse.

it is just unfair how good zach hill is on drums. i'm in a wheelchair so when i hear something like this song, i'm like "yo dude. fuck you" hahahah. he is just very, very creative. i love this shit so much.

The song is simply too vague to have any concrete meaning, but if you break the words down into their constituent parts you can create a vibe.

The speaker is describing some subject. We don't know if it's a girl, a boy, or something else. We just know that the subject has physical characterists described as 'red'. What sorts of feelings or emotions does the colour 'red' invoke? Passion; love; firey feelings; anger; hatred... it goes on. The indisputable fact is that the speaker regards their subject with inordinate passion, be it passionate hatred or passionate affection.

However, the final line, or 'turn', is telling: 'And it feels gold'. Okay, gold is typically indicative of something precious, beautiful, or valuable. Clearly then, the passionate feelings the speaker harbours for the subject are positive. Some people have suggested this song is about a murderer, I disagree - I think that is too much of an inductive leap.

The lyrics are clearly meant to be ethereal; they lack narrative, context, and sufficient description. I think the lyrics are best characterised as a vibe; a feeling. We can all relate to moments where we regard somebody, or something, with such extreme passion that we are utterly engulfed by it, and that engulfing makes us realise it is something so precious. Couple that with the sort-of yearning tone of the song, I think you have the best answer you can possibly get: this is a song about passion, an overwhelming passion that invokes in the speaker a sense that they are experiencing a truly valuable and beautiful thing.

I think it\'s about loving someone intensely and feeling hopeless to protect them. Like you see their vulnerability, that they are only human. It\'s like realizing that you\'ve found someone you want to live forever with, but you know time is limited, that everyone dies.
