Crucial Lyrics

Verse 1:
See this here? This is crucial

This is an emergency
They shot down in the dark
They did it 'cause it paid the fee
Now there's nothing to die for
All the kids from miles around
Are fools in paradise
Don't know about the firing sound
So the scene is an ice haul
Coming back we fly away
Jaja coming so I live to see another day
All I think about is if I was just to run away
Would I come back to love you

Chorus:
I don't wanna change the world
I only wanna stop pretending
What you say? Come again
What you say? Come again now
Nothing left to do but let it burn
I only hope we're all ascending high
What you say? Come again
What you say? Come again now

Verse 2:
All around my hometown
They tried to chop me down
But the truth shall not forsake me
Pick me up to higher ground
And you
You're the light when the feeling is dark
You're pretending the game is a race
Because we fall and we die in your heart

I don't wanna change the world
I only wanna stop pretending
What you say? Come again
What you say? Come again now

I will never let you down
I'll be right here beside you
Hangin' around
So if you think you let me down
You'll meet me here in silence
Without a sound

Change worlds
Ch-change burns
We came first
That's why we're in chains
And there's no one to blame but mine

Well, tis song is about our "crazy" WORLD. And how bad it is. He wants the world to change. I personally think that K-OS is a great artist. And has a unique sound. But to me it seems like hes some hotshot from Canada and listens to Reggae. So he base his sound from other Reggae artist. Jaja? Since when do them Canada people praise Jaja? Yeah... but anyway. Maybe I don't know well about Jaja. And maybe i don't know about Canadians but K-OS seems a little mircowaved don't cha think? Don't get me wrong... K-os is cool but he just isn't real. SORRY!

Hmmm, I don't know where you get off judging Canadians like that. Anybody in the world can be any religion they want to be, regardless of race, color or where they're from.

Actually, Canada has a very large immigrant population, particularly from Jamaica, particularly in the Toronto area. Something like 30% of Canadians are descendants of some group other than the English or French. I don't know anything about K-os, but 10 seconds on the 'Net led me to believe he or his parents are from Jamaica. So no, it doesn't seem that he's some "poser" or wannabe reggae artist. He's clearly influenced by his place of origin and the large Jamaican community in Canada.

Babypinka, I suggest you do a little more listening to k-os. He isn't just reggae, and he's certainly not 'microwaved'. I have, honestly, no clue where you got that from.

first of all baby, people from anywhere can worship "Jah". Just not lest you be judged yourself.

Jah is just a shortening of Jehovah, which is translation of the pronunciation of YHWH, which is not meant to be pronounced anyway... YHWH being the name of the Judean(and therefore christian and muslim god)

for those wondering, one of k-os' parents is from trinidad and he has spent part of his youth there. hence, jah-jah. he has a lot of reggae roots because of this, and he has been exposed to many forms of music and takes traits from many of these influences and adds them to his own music. making his own style of creatively eclectic music, which makes him more HIP-HIP than anything else (even though he does sing well).

First of all his family is from trinidad. Second of all stop Jah (or in this case jaja) is just a shortened form of Jehovah, which is in turn the pronunciation of YHWH, the sacred name of God in judaism and therefore in christianity. You call someone fake because they speak about a god which you deny due to lack of knowledge.

k-os grew up in a jehovah's witness family

isn't it "eyesore" instead of "ice haul?" I would think that makes more sense.
