The Way I Live My Life Lyrics
Distant world are you the home I have?
My orbit has me thrown
To the boundaries of the mind
We’re pulling in on every rope we’re thrown
And crossing to the time
When direction leads the willing to the light
I lose every bit of my heart
But the words don’t speak for the feelings under
Tune into the program over the seas of my heart
To the way I live my life
Sophisticated love surrounding us
And though it grows undear
Holds the silver in the end
It makes the most of the final years we have my friend
I lose every bit of my heart
But the words don’t speak for the feelings under
Tune into the program over the seas of my heart
To the way I live my life
My orbit has me thrown
To the boundaries of the mind
And crossing to the time
When direction leads the willing to the light
But the words don’t speak for the feelings under
Tune into the program over the seas of my heart
To the way I live my life
And though it grows undear
Holds the silver in the end
It makes the most of the final years we have my friend
But the words don’t speak for the feelings under
Tune into the program over the seas of my heart
To the way I live my life

Someone at the edge of their known experiences, either physically or mentally / emotionally. Perhaps they are an independently spirited person, but someone who still needs the emotional bond with someone to lead them onward or down a narrower path?
This reminds me of a poem I once read about a spider casting out its thread into the unknown as it stands on an isolated island. It was a metaphor for how human beings continue to have hope, and continue to reach into the unknown, looking for answers to the unanswerable. I like the idea that the thread has finally caught somewhere and he is pulling in his home in heaven.
