Wrecking Hotel Rooms Lyrics

(with Mark Hoppus in the chorus)

i wrecked your hotel room
i crashed up the car
slept in the gutter
i'm outside your door
saw you through the keyhole
down on your knees
there's really no reason to call the police

do you hold
the phone when you're alone
imagine that it rings
then hold it to your ear
and wish that i was there
to sing you off to sleep
be with you in your dreams
through all the days i will be gone
i'll be there in your dreams and in this song

i know you don't know me
'cause we've never met
i'm not really crazy
so don't get upset
i've got all these problems
none with solutions
been in and out of some nice institutions

do you hold
the phone when you're alone
imagine that it rings
then hold it to your ear
and wish that i was there
to sing you off to sleep
be with you in your dreams
through all the days i will be gone
i'll be there in your dreams and in this song
i'll be there in your dreams and in this song

Hmm... gnoz05, she could've been down on her knees praying. also, people usually call the police on stalkers, which he kinda does sound like a stalker.

anyway, I love the chorus in this track. it's just too great! :)

At the beginning of the song it sounds like maybe he saw the girl he likes/that he's stalking (not a hooker), with another guy, so he got drunk, ransacked a hotel room, crashed a car, and passed out... Then he has wishful thinking that she likes him, and she wants him to call her, but then you find out that they have never actually met... but none the less, i like the song

"I'm not really crazy, so don't get upset. I've got all these problems; none with solutions, been in and out of some nice institutions." I think that part actually infers that the man has something wrong with him psychologically, and he is crazy. This may be getting a bit ahead of it, but you could then get to the conclusion from the crazy part, that the man is a stalker.

the fact that this song is written from the point of veiw of a stalker is a given - this is a story, with his fantasys, and reality getting mixed up in the song. simple as

This song really reminds me of The Phantom of The Opera. I mean there's the whole stalker thing (the Phantom is definitely a stalker) but you still really feel sorry for the guy. And when he says "sing you off to sleep" it like when the Phantom is singing Christine to sleep.

gnoz05.

it may be three years overdue, but better late than never.

mxpx, blink-182, sum 41 and midtown would not exist without green day. it's fine if you don't like them, but just know that.

Ok So no this song is not about a hooker. seeing as all the guys are Christian I don't think that they would write a song about hookers. What I think that this song is really about is a guy who is in love with a girl.He is singing about what he thinks the girl is going through, and he is so in love with her that it would almost seem like he is stalking her, so thats why he says that "there's really no reason to call the police". If you have ever seen the music video for this song it explains it a little better. Anyway this is a great song everyone should go listen to it.
