i think that the "morning after funeral" is the morning after pill his girlfriend takes the morning after because they had sex the previous night

he tells himself that everything will be ok, that he needs to just go ahead and follow through

he tells the possible baby that everything will be ok to just close its eyes and fade away

I think its about how life is such a mess and its crazy but you try to do anything to fix it. Hence the Alcohol or bandages. And you try to tell yourself that ok just breathe

for some reason i've always had in my head that someone close to them died, they went to their funeral, then to escape the pain went home and got wasted. this song is about waking up the next morning. "morning after funeral" idk..not very meaningful, that's just the first impression i got from the song. lovely song, mesmerizing. love jamison parker.
