its simply a cover song & a great one at that, on their best album.no its not, he got "helter skelter" from the beatles.

Well, this was most definitely a Beatles song... but I'd love to know how anything in the lyrics could possibly relate to Charles Manson even in the most abstract sense.

Charlie, in his acid induced insanity, decided that it had hidden messages in it that somehow correlated with the book of Revelation in the Bible. Btw helter skelter is a slide generally found in Europe with the carnival and other traveling stuff.
