What an amazing piece of art. Gives me goosebumps everytime.
This looks like a song about not accomplishing what you want and covering it up. The singer is saying dont be like me and drive your self to accomplish it.
An awesome fucking song, its got a guitar part that just makes you wanna kill.
To me this song is abut struggles beyond your better judgment. Knowing the backward path it is taking you, yet being unable to stop. It is giving in to a desire to help cope with the unpleasant by numbing all else as well. This song resonates with easing the present while straining the future. With addictions. It is also a warning: I don’t ever want to see you doing all the same things as me Don’t ever let this be you knowing what it is that drives me
To me this song is about jealousy:

We all know that jealousy is a human thing, everyone has it every now and then.
The chorus:

He doesn't want others to do exactly the same things as he does, he wants them to just think of something to do for themselves.

People often aren't satisfied with what they've got themselves when they see what others have got, and then they try to get that, and others get better things, and thus it never ends.
That's just my interpretation:)
I kinda see it as diversifying yourself from others and pushing forward with new ideas instead of wallowing in the same ol' shit.
