I agree. This song is about having enough of someone's bull* and is his way of telling them to leave him the f alone. He has had enough of everyone and wants to be left completely alone for a while. Who hasn't felt this way?!?!

This is based on personal experience but the reason I connected with this band when I was in high school is because of the overall distaste I had for everyone. All I wanted to be was unnoticed and not have to deal with the shallow, ignorant fucks that were so caught up in their ego's. You reach a point where you dread dealing with these people that need to interject their ego at every turn and hate you for not reinforcing their ego. It sucks when your home life is the exact same. It makes you feel like you're surrounded, trapped in a prison with a bunch of assholes who won't leave you alone. So you push away from everybody, isolate yourself so you can get those precious "few seconds away". But this makes you a target of the pack, whether it's your family or peers at school. And you have to deal with even more bullshit. I think this is what Chad means with this song.

I'm sure there are some of you who haven't heard of a great philosopher by the name of Plato; but he explains what is "just" as far as political inquiry and inordinate truths on the means of social corruption. Mudvayne is high on philosophy and utilizes philosophical thoughts and ideas in most or all of their songs. "The Republic", written by Plato, seems right up Mudvayne's alley.

i think this song could also be about how when touring that he just want to be alone (just a few seconds alone) he want to be by himself and not be annoyed by everyones eles shit but thats just me

This song makes me think of a teenager who is going through extreme abuse at the hands of a drunk father.

It seems like the father is taking at one point "Cry it, baby, Pussy" and the more comforting voice would something else telling him to dry his tears, it'll be okay.
