This is about a girl, like all, of unrequited love. He's surrounded by a whole bunch of people who are so "interesting", but he can't stand that. They all tell the same stories. But he finds a girl who's different. This girl is from a place where everything is perfect, and she is surrounded by "interesting" people as well. But he's calling out to her, letting her know that he's the same, and he'll leave his interesting life, and hopes that she will too. He's "over that way, of communicating over and around everyone who's anyone." He tells her that he'll wait for her, but lets her know that him saying that means nothing, unless she will at some point agree to leave too.
Its really great too how he impresses the "I Love You" being "the words youy've grown to starve" I like that.
