i believe this song is about the days when you go outside, and it's sunny and everyone seems to be pleasant, and you're just walking around reflecting on life and people you have loved, and you're looking forward to the rest of your life.

I too believe this song is absolutely wonderful. From what I know of Ben Lee, before he wrote this album he spent almost a year at a Buddhist monestary in Nepal. The time in peace attributes to the soothing nature of the entire album...but as a result, I would suggest that the "she" he is referring to as "maker" is quite possibly God, his God if not the Christian god. Instead of saying "He" for God, it is becoming more and more common to refer to God in the female form. Enjoy. Peace!
I agree that the "she won't giveup on me" is Either his mother or God. I feel even possibly both which makes this song that much more beautiful.
