Histrionics

Title track off of the new cd "Histrionics" out May 3rd. This is such an amazing debut full length. A quick little song that helps open the cd even though it's not the first song on it. Not quite positive exactly what this one's about. Seems kinda like a guy who keeps messing up when it comes to a girl, and now wants her to leave even though he'd been wanting to "get it into you"...but I'm not positive

Histrionic is a type of personality disorder. A Histrionic, or a person who has histrionic personality disorder, excessively craves attention or, and probably more important, a person who considers relationships to be more intimate than they actually are.

What that has to do with the song... i'm not sure... i'd go that its along the lines of some guy who starts relationships with girls, then puts too much into them, and eventually loses the girls. I don't have much basis for that... just an opinion.

I don't know where the sourberville got his definition from, but i've never heard of that use of histrionics. Histrionic is actually an adjective not a noun, its used to describe actions that are intentionally dramatic, more specifically, actions dealing with acting or theather. "Histrionics repeats itself all over again" refers to the first line where the dramatic event of the boy crumbling is viewed for a number of times.

The lyrics depict an event in a theatrical manner, as if the narrator were watching a play of some event that heppened. This event could have been involving him, but the significance is that he constantly watches it over and over as if it was being acted out infront of him.

so addicting, puts me in a good mood instantly.

& yeah, histronics isnt a personality disorder. CBrownie's right on that one.

CBrownie was right about what histrionics is, but so's that other person. Histrionics Personality Disorder is a real condition, they didn't just make it up. But the meaning of the word makes more sense in this song if you go for the noun meaning.
