Beautiful song, i can relate to it a lot with my current relationship, or whatevers left... But very good song, Any idea what it could be about?

This song is pretty much about someone going away. I would guess possibly to college or something like that. After being apart for awhile things change, you lose the feeling you had. You can dream about the good times you had together but they are not what is real anymore. Will you regret the feelings you had, or will you keep them close. Waiting sucks. Doesn't sound like he's coming back though.
