Like "Happy Colored Marbles", you first think it's a kid's (perhaps Sesame Street) song and after looking back on it realize it's something a lot darker.
Alright, so all the lyrics aren't up there. But: Me and my buddy figured this was about an old man, holed up in his house, looking at all the people in his neighborhood(So many people in the neighborhood). He doesn't really trust them (I don't know if they're very good people). When the music gets all crazy, he's finally left the house, goin' around ringin' doorbells and offering pie to people. (How's about a piece of pie DING DONG DING DONG). Just a crazy old man song.
@killpapadingo I agree. Could someone clarify "lox" for me?

This is their brownest song in years, and it absolutely requires the volume to be up all the way and the lights to be turned off completely when being listened to... kinda like Suicide's "Frankie Teardrop" except a lot more fun and bouncy.
And Gorilla has an interesting point... it wouldn't seem out of place in Blue Velvet at all.
Whenever I hear this song, I think of David Lynch's Blue Velvet.
Druge induced paranoia/psychosis.
Another one of those songs like "Zoloft". Thought I got the right one, but it turns out that the song I have is by a completely different band, and I have no idea what the name of it is or who the band is...
The music sounds like some robot stuff, something like Kraftwerk or Daft Punk. So I figured this could be a robot that found himself in a not-so-friendly neighborhood full of people. So in the end, it's about racism, tolerance etc. Or it could as well be about tripping on LSD :)
hows about a piece of pie DING DONG DING DONG socks and cocks and locks and rocks stay inside stay inside
those are the other words, although the order of the rhyming words may be mixed up.
i think its just about people who live right next door aren't always who they appear to be...you could be living next to a seria killer or drug addict or what-have you..may its refering to rocks as crack rocks, locks are on all of the peoples doors because you can't trust even the people living next to you. socks (in/and) cocks? not sure maybe people who wear socks on their dicks lol? anyway these things 'stay inside, stay inside'....also the whole pie reference to me is just when you offer a welcoming gift to your neighbors, you bring them a baked pie or some shit...

Sounds like someone who has a serious case of paranoia and anthropophobia. probably from the withdrawls of some drugs taken earlier. i love this song because i know a handful of times ive felt this exact way... :)
