Somewhere In The Sun Lyrics

Stuck here at a Holiday Inn in Austin, Texas. Seen all the road that I wanna see. God I hate the snow. They even cancelled a show. It makes me long for where I really wanna be.

Chorus:
Oh I wish I was there tonight. On Yos Phin Dike. Sippin' on some Foxes Fire Water Rum. Or kickin' back with Ivan with all my friends down in the islands. It wouldn't take much for me to up and run to another life somewhere in the sun

Got cold fajitas and only one channel on the TV. Andy and Barney on Nickat Nite. Seen an ad for Mexico. God I really wanna go anywhere outta mind and outta site.

Chorus

Here's a toast to you on the coast and the sailors out at sea. Drink your ale hoist your sails... ride the wind and think of me

Chorus

Foxy's is actually a bar on the island (Jost Van Dyke). Foxy's Firewater Rum initially was distilled and bottled in Trinidad but now is bottled by the Cruzan Distillery in St. Croix, USVI. Thing is, Foxy's & Jost Van Dyke are part of the British Virgin Islands, Cruzan is distilled in the US Virgin Islands.

It's Jost Van Dyke and Foxy's Firewater Rum... the former being an island in the carribean and the latter being a company on the island

To my dad: "Here's a toast to you on the coast and the sailors out at sea. Drink your ale hoist your sails... ride the wind and think of me" I inherited his love for the sea and boats, but not his hate for snow - it's also water in some way :-)
