This Cold Lyrics
I don't need a ride to arrive
I don't feel approached any time
If you feel a fader on a decline
Out of all you've ever been
And you won't need time
You never need time
I don't need this every God
You see every ghost am I
Have we found a phase to be out of
Transfer all your thoughts to me
And you won't need love
We don't need love
I don't need this sin to go
Down to where all forevers flow
Every fate released is revealed slow
Never talking back to me
Say it out loud
I feel this cold
I never stay and I never go
I don't feel approached any time
If you feel a fader on a decline
Out of all you've ever been
And you won't need time
You never need time
You see every ghost am I
Have we found a phase to be out of
Transfer all your thoughts to me
And you won't need love
We don't need love
Down to where all forevers flow
Every fate released is revealed slow
Never talking back to me
Say it out loud
I never stay and I never go

when i was going through some rough times with my last relationship I listened to this a lot. I related the distancing of myself and my ex as 'this cold'
good comparison. i like it.
good comparison. i like it.
i don't really know but i think somrthing to do with how he or someone feels about someone else or some crazy thing in johns mind
i think this song is refering to all the 'things' that exist without time. That invisible dimension he sings and talks of that must be a huge part of what is going on. he seems to look forward to being without time.
ahh intresting i like it do you think it could have to do w/ a dimension thats not invisibe though cuz that bit just dont make much sence to me
i think the end of this song holds a lot of the meaning to this song. he is waiting to know what his fate will be, but its "never talking back to him"
also the way this entire album flows together when you listen to the whole thing is just amazing
i luv this song so much, i think he's done great going solo, but i hope he never leaves the chilis :o
lol wow...psychic? u predicted it dude. and its funny how someone says he will never leave the chili peppers again and look where he is now.

too bad he did! i hope he goes back eventually, like when he joined in 1998 from leaving the first time back in 1992

no way will he leave rhcp again hes here to the end this time.
i'll have to really look into this song sometime
in an interview he was asked about this song and he couldnt answer the question so it must be a song that mens a lot to john and has a signifciant meaning to it. just thought it would help to figure out what its about
I once heard it put like this. Most things that we as people enjoy are all based in time. Sex, drugs, and music, for example, all require time to enjoy them. Once we have moved on from our physical bodies, we will be timeless. I think that since John sees it that way, he respects time. We should all respect time.
