Paranoid Lyrics

Finished with my woman
she couldn't help me with my mind
People think I'm insane
cause I am frowning all the time
All the time
All the time

All day long I think these things
but nothing seems to satisfy
I think I'll loose my mind
if I don't find something to pacify

Can you help him feel love
'Cause he's not made of steel
Oh no, no
Can you help him feel love
'Cause he's not made of steel

I need someone to show me
the things in life that I can't find
I can't see the things
that make true happiness I must be blind

Make a joke and I will sigh
and she will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel
and love to me is so unreal
So unreal
So unreal

And so as you hear these words
telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life
I wish I could but it's too late

Can you help me feel love, love
'Cause I'm not made of steel
Oh no, no
Can you help me feel love, love
'Cause I'm not made of steel
Oh no, no

Can you help me feel love, love
('Cause he's not made of steel)
(Oh no, no)
Can you help me feel love, love
('Cause he's not made of steel)

It's weird how a lot of Sabbath fans seem to think this is a terrible cover but it's more of an "interpretation" of the original and personally I think it's the best cover I've heard (cough Megadeth cough) of the song. There's not many bands that could take Black Sabbath and successfully make a doomier version of it :-)

So you posted this like almost 10 yrs ago - but seriously you are so right. they're a bad ass band. Type O could cover NSync, and make their songs mean something different. Oh such a beautiful man, Peter Steele.

I agree. I like how it's played different from the original. Slower, and doomier indeed.

pantera's cover of this song is way better then the original from black sabbath and better then the cover from t.o.n.

I also agree, WAY doomier...

No, this is the best cover (or interpretation, your pick)of the song. Period. If metal heads can't appreciate this version of 'Paranoid' then they probably do not know good music if it came up and slapped them in the ears. Slow, melodic, very ToN. An incredible, and heart wrenching, epic song.

An interpretation of the song? I think the lyrics speak for themselves.

ha, am i the only one who noticed (prob not.. but I'm definitely the first to mention it) the whole Pete Steele "'Cause I'm not made of steel" thing?

it's rather typical of him to make that sorta play on words, especially with a cover... really ToN.

My my if you listen to the 'can you help me feel love' part and dont grin as a warm rush of TON beauty pores through you then your nothing but a lesser man. As said before its probably one of the best interpretations of paranoid. I would rate it higher than a cover performed sounding almost exactly similar to the original.
