Seriously, anyone thinking this is about STD doesn't know any of the lyrics besides the refrain. It's obviously about catching HIS disease, and HIS disease is joy and feeling content with life as it is. He's simply saying that what ever happens in life, it's still life and it's worth loving and enjoying rather than running around being bitter or sad. I love the message. It's a song that neither gives nor takes sympathy, it is just a simple message: Hey people, this is a really nice way to look at life so try it.
