Makes No Sense At All Lyrics
Walking around with your head in the clouds
Makes no sense at all
Sell yourself short, but you're walking so tall
Makes no sense at all
Is it important? You're yelling so loud
Makes no sense at all
Walking around with your head in the clouds
Makes no sense at all
Makes no difference at all
I don't know why you want to tell me
When I'm right or when you're wrong
It's the same thing, in your mind, the only time
I'm right is when I play along
You concern yourself with evidence
It's evident to me
Well you say you've got the tiger by the tail
But I don't see these things that way
Makes no sense at all
Sell yourself short, but you're walking so tall
Makes no sense at all
Is it important? You're yelling so loud
Makes no sense at all
Walking around with your head in the clouds
Makes no sense at all
Makes no difference at all
When I'm right or when you're wrong
It's the same thing, in your mind, the only time
I'm right is when I play along
It's evident to me
Well you say you've got the tiger by the tail
But I don't see these things that way

I have to agree that this song has one of Grant's better drum performances. Essentially the singer is talking to someone who thinks he knows everything, and thinks he is completely in control of things, but in reality, he is not. At the time this was released, the world was coming out of a recession, and still building up nuclear arms. They were also starting to feed us placebos that haunt us to this day. I think on a deeper level, Bob was warning about that.
I'd love to know how Grant got the sound on his drum fills here. They sound massive.
The lyrics should be: "When I'm right or when I'm wrong"
The drums sound great in this song. Spot kind of has a pretty bad reputation so it's strange...
