Worth Fighting For Lyrics
You said I could never find
A way to ease your mind
That where I'd go you'd wind up in the dust
I tried so hard to have you reach
Another side of me
Instead you went to nowhere and forgot
So I wander on
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for
Desert heat can wear you down
But still I'm rollin' through
Did I see your figure in the haze
I am driven by a thirst
To quench myself of love
The sun beats on me for the price I've paid
So I wander on
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for Yeah !
Night road leads me to a town of ghosts
Beckoned by the glow of kerosene and tumbleweed
They're calling out (They're calling out)
Forevermore (Forevermore)
Worth fighting for
I'm leaning in the wind
Head bowed down from what I saw
My shadow for a friend
still some things are worth fighting for
So I moving on
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for Yeah !
Worth Fighting For!
A way to ease your mind
That where I'd go you'd wind up in the dust
Another side of me
Instead you went to nowhere and forgot
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for
But still I'm rollin' through
Did I see your figure in the haze
To quench myself of love
The sun beats on me for the price I've paid
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for Yeah !
Beckoned by the glow of kerosene and tumbleweed
Forevermore (Forevermore)
Worth fighting for
Head bowed down from what I saw
My shadow for a friend
still some things are worth fighting for
Asking where you might have gone
From what I knew before
Some things are worth fighting for Yeah !

This song that was inspired by the desert southwest, from Arizona. Priest was inspired by the isolation and the loneliness of the desert. It's a forlorn song about lost love and the search for it, because some things are worth fighting for. Thats is how Rob Halford described it in the video of the acoustic version of the song. I did not quote him directly but for the most part it is the same.
Hurf durf durf. Judas priest has a gay singers, so all their songs must be about homosexuality and whatnot.
Stuff like that bugs the crap outta me. Anyway, I always picture a world-weary cowboy-looking guy when I hear this song. Haunted by his past transgressions.

Great song!! Sould do really well if released as a single I think.
This is my fav song off angel of retribution! It's going to do really well as the new single!
I have to agree with moomin best song on the CD
This is the best song off the album, and one of my all-time favorite JP songs. 5/5
I was absolutely thrilled when I heard this tune. This is solid song. Perhaps a homage to the willingsness of the band to reunite? Who knows. It's just a great tune. A good, solid rock song. 6/5
Sounds like something that would have been on an early 80's JP album.
I wouldn't be at ALL surprised to learn they wrote this song based on "The Dark Tower" series by Stephen King.
I'm in the middle of "The Gunslinger" right now and this song is 100% perfect for it.
Nice song, not the best in AoR but it gets close.
