I love this song,but I love its video even more. Have you ever seen it?It shows youth and love and friendship and sweet sex all at once and I think it's amazing. It leaves you a warm sensation of life flowing through you and it keeps you smiling and wanting to run,hand in hand with the one you love,among fields under a sunny sky.

I’m not so sure this song is about breaking up as much as it’s about just wanting to live, to enjoy life, and to set things right. I never saw it as pessimistic. I do think the guy is a bit desperate, but I don’t think his desperation is a bad thing. I agree with Jinxx that he’s trying to convey that life is meaningless without love—love for your partner, your family, life going on around you. I always saw the song as optimistic and full of hope. Maybe I just found it comforting that I could relate to it so easily and that’s where I found the optimism and hope. I don’t know, but this is my favorite song. I can’t ever feel completely down when I listen to it.
Any song that makes me want to dance, or think that I can dance, has got to be great. This is seriously one of the most uplifting and genuinely joyus tunes that I have ever heard. The lyrics acknowledge and reinforce all that is bad and good in the world. This song makes me feel happy, and makes me feel united with mankind in this journey through life.
I absolutley love this tune. I have been a N.O. fan fr 20 years or more. This song seems to me to say don't take life for granted. Make the most of what you have and dont veg on the tv....
also I agree with "sweet jane" the video to this song is great. Makes me feel young again-reminds me of the days that have passed for me but leaves me with optimistic feelings for the future.
