Liarsenic: Creating a Universe of Discourse Lyrics

Run, run farmer screaming bloody murder
Run, run farmer screaming bloody murder

the daughters of question have been murdered murdered murdered.

Deception is charming
i dont think so

i dont think so (x100)

these things harmonize and overthrow.
these things will cure but they will tear down
and we are not the ones who carry on
and we are not the ones who wear the shroud, tear down.

Liar, condescender, words born as bastards.
Liar, condescender, words born as bastards.
our swords will rest and a course in miracles all hail
and killers will rise. Where have we gone wrong?

Understand laced the web. i dont think so

i dunno underoathfan111, its a good idea, but i feel another meaning. Im gonna say it concerns todays society, and how people just fall into its deceptive ways.

The daughters of question have been murdered: this seems to me like he's saying we dont question the horrors society warps us into believeing, though we might have at one point in time.

Deception is charming: Like i said before, i think he's expressing the fall into the corruption society brings upon us trough deception, and since the deception is now days based on premiscous senses of pleasure, it is indeed charming.

No, I dont think so: saying in actuality deception aint charming because it leads us down a fucked up pathway.

the entire chours from these things will harmonize- to tear down: I think he's sayin all these problems we face and more importantly the people that expirence these problems will all come together in the end, but when he says tear down i think he's tryin to say like, it'll be a tough journey to achieve that status.

Lair, condesender, words born of bastards: I believe this is more of a personal frustration with these teachings the average american views through the televsion set everyday, and the singer not only is lashing out at them, yet at the same time he's (i think) attempting to throw attention towards those emotions so others might recognize whats happenin.

Our swords will rest and a course of miracles all hail, and killers will rise. Where have we gone wrong: I personally believe that this is a call to all those who understand this message, and an attempt to let them all understand that they should recognize these moral illnesses, and attempt to make a change through peaceful methods (our swords will rest). The change that he hopes for is what i consider to be the "miracles all hail" part. Killers will rise i think is a statement generated towards those who will try to stop us, whether he is talking about actual people, or its a metaphor for sin, im not sure. Finally, where did we go wrong is just a sentence bringing our focus away from the hopeful future and back into what is the still fog filled present.

Im not sure what he means by understand laced the web. Im guessing he's sayin like understand is a person of some sort, and he laced some web of which i am unaware of.

This might be the true interpretation, or not, its just what this sng means to me.

I truthfully feel that this message (if it is what i believe it to be) is a powerful one. Im the singer in a band and i normally focus on worldly corruptions and shit. Not in a christian sense, more like a anti-whores or anti-idols kinda stuff. But this particular message reminds me a Jesse Leach (old KsE) style shit. Its all just a call for a better world, and i think we should strive for it. Good job Cory.

this song tells us how people have been treated. Girls were killed if they were born with retardation or something along those lines. The song quotes that it all eventually gets better and will be illegal/abandon but it has still affected many of people. More and more people were treated woman and men like this and it got to be soo big (and killers will rise).

Kick ass song! It's good to here Christian metal bands like Norma Jean that aren't so preachy like a lot of Christian music today.

I can't help but think the music video for this song has to do something with this song's meaning. The first person's interpretation made me think he could be right because of the children in the video maybe having to do something with the song. Whatever it is, it's an amazing song. Not just lyrically, but my gosh, the guitar play and distortion is incredible... Great metal band.

if you really think about it, "words born as bastards" is the only part you need. batards are fatherless men. so if the words are fatherless, they have no root to them, no meaning. so he's basically saying thats something is creating chaos for no reason and we dont know what to do or if we've done something to create the chaos. its probably has to deal with xcrazycorex's belief, from the society and how the media can twist it and how we need to think of a solution quick before time runs out and there is no hope and complete chaos destroys the world. (christ maybe the solution??????) Think about it any comments, you guys can email me at ad_ren1@yahoo.com, i dont usually check back at the responses to my posts. :)

God Bless,

Adrienne

Are the lyrics at the beginning referring to 'The Green Mile', in which an inmate is convicted of murdering two girls. Crazycore's nailed it, for me. I don't think there's a better explanation.

Ok, I've read all the comments above, but it seems obvious to me that “Understanding laced the web!” actually means men's thirst for understanding (and all the scientific progression) made everything more confusing and complicated (laced the web)

@seabirdmaniac...great interp, but I don't like how you talk about Darwin.

Darwin co-created the theory. A theory is not a hunch yet hold no truth - by definition a theory is the explanation of phenomenon and observations.

Like I said, Darwin co-created the theory - and like I said a theory holds no truth. Darwin did not claim "the he knew how it happened."
