The World's Edge

to me this song means something like a new world expirenced and you want to be there and that makes this world closer to its edge

For some reason I think a major theme of this song is arbitrariness. There is not much more I have to say now.

john does know a lot bout that kind of stuff and i think it might just be that. its a wee bit like rhcps song cant stop. it has that feeling to it too dont ya think.

Yea I haven't thought of it that way. I haven't yet tried to link much of JF's work with RHCP, but I recently read that John said in an interview that he thought Anthony might have wrote Parallel Universe with John in mind or something like that. Another note about this song; I love the ending of the song, like so many his.

I have an interpretative correction: "Like holding on to a whole" should be "Like holding on to a hole"

Holding onto nothing? Taking the leap of 'faith'? I think 'the end of me' is the end of identity, mind, ego?

I guess it's about esoterism and soul, John is really deep in that. He almost slipped of the world's edge! Awesome writer.
