Holy Holly,
She don't approve at all
She thinks that she's a pony
Prancing in the front hall
She sleeps with a saddle on
Gets up and rides at dawn
Nobody knows what's wrong
But she can't keep her trousers on
Humpty Mudumpty
She's all better now
She thought that she was somebody else for a while
A house at the North Pole
She went for her daily stroll
Wearin' a wig and a mink stole,
That she's the daughter of rock and roll.
Ivy boy, he couldn't be trusted
even his face was an alias
Tried to be like Monte Hall
Living like a rubber ball
Found himself in Montreal
Ivy couldn't deal at all
She don't approve at all
She thinks that she's a pony
Prancing in the front hall
She sleeps with a saddle on
Gets up and rides at dawn
Nobody knows what's wrong
But she can't keep her trousers on
She's all better now
She thought that she was somebody else for a while
A house at the North Pole
She went for her daily stroll
Wearin' a wig and a mink stole,
That she's the daughter of rock and roll.

That last line should be:
"Ivy boy, he couldn't be trusted even his face was an alias Tried to be like Monte Hall Living like a rubber ball Found himself in Montreal Ivy couldn't deal at all"
To me, the song is about a self-righteous woman, who thinks highly of her supposed morals and strong character, while she secretly has many, many affairs, possibly disguising herself in order to do so.
Then she genuinely falls in love with a guy, who turns out to be a philanderer and her life utterly falls apart when he leaves her.
I've gone through phases with most songs on this album, but i think this song is the best. Every time I listen to it I think about the lyrics and the instrumentation a different way. The last verse is great. It is a bit hard to interpret, but that also makes me think about it differently. Also there's no real chorus, which is pretty cool. Well-structured, well-layered song with great lyrics.
"Ivy boy, he couldn't be trusted feeling his face was familiar Tried to be like a monthly haul Living like a rubber ball Found himself in Montreal Ivy couldn't deal at all"
This is the best part of the song, a great song indeed. My best bet is the first part is the song is about a girl that starts acting out for some reason and starts sleeping around, I don't have a clue about the last part though.
Beautiful song with some weird lyrics. X)
I think the song is about 3 different people and a short story about what happened to them, kind of like "mmm mmm mmm mmm"
