Stay in the Shade Lyrics
Stay in the shade until you reach the grave
Hide from yourself and see how you fade
You'll see how you fade
Love moves on
Life goes on
You'll stand all alone
You'll see how you fade
You'll see how you fade
See how you fade
Move on or you'll see how you fade
Move on or you'll see how you fade
Hide from yourself and see how you fade
You'll see how you fade
Life goes on
You'll see how you fade
See how you fade
Move on or you'll see how you fade

The message of this song is simple, BE YOURSELF.
beautiful.
My god, this song is brilliant
not just be yourself, but enjoy life. the most boring people are those who dont realize that so many beautiful things are happening all around them and they have no idea what's going on. you cant get hung up on insignificant worries, you simply have to live.
is this about getting over a relationship and not being depressed about it?
if you 'stay in the shade' you miss out, 'you fade' because no-one sees you anymore as you're too wrapped up in yourself.
'Love moves on, life moves on' is what you often have to remember after a break up.
The song seems pretty self-explanatory.
It's not about something as specific or insignificant as a breakup. It is about life in general. How we see it. How we react to it.
How we live it.
Don't let yourself fade. Live life. Take risks. Take advantage of the sunlight that we are given before it disappears.

i'm pretty sure he was just trying to find something that rhymes with "fade", and also to use the words "love" and "life " one sentence apart, in this song.
I agree with CrayonDrawnCat
As a wise man once said: 'Life is there to be lived...So live it'. Goes quite well with the lyrics :)
