Morning Life Lyrics

A new day has begun
And taken us now
Morning life is ehre
Touch, sight and sound

But you feel, nothing is real
You're flesh and bone, but nothing is real
Today, this could be the only day
Can't let this mooment get away
Cause this could be the only way
So call on me, call on me

Tempers of the world
Dragging you down
The chemestry of life
The touch of a hand

But you feel, nothing is real
You're flesh and bone, but nothing is real
Today, this could be the only day
Can't let this mooment get away
Cause this could be the only way
So call on me, call on me

You're fading out, don't fade, you're coming back
You're fading now don't fade, you're coming back
You're fading out don't fade
You're coming back

Today, cause this could be the only way
So call on me, call on me...
Today this could be the only day
Can't let this moment get away...

Listening to this, it sounds to me like a Jon Lee tribute again. "Morning life" itself implies mourning to me, while "A new day has begun" is life without his best friend.

"But you feel, nothing is real You're flesh and bone, but nothing is real Today, this could be the only day Can't let this mooment get away Cause this could be the only way So call on me, call on me"

This sounds to me like Grant's ideas as to what Jon must have been thinking, whearas "call on me" screams... I'm here for you.

"Fading out" and "this could be the only way" also say suicide to me.

To me, this is about having to go through something bad, and when it's over, he feels nothing. He doesn't like that he feels nothing but is more scared that when the nothing stops he will feel unhappy.

I first heard this song in Remember the Daze and it made me cry.

The lyrics and the music...it's just so powerful. I cry each and every time I hear this song. It's just absolutely brilliant.

And now that you mention it, I could see it being about Jon Lee. I had never really though of it that way, honestly.

RIP Jon Lee
