Pink Girl with the Blues Lyrics

Pink girl with the blues,
Pink girl,
Pink girl with the blues,
Pink girl with the blues,
Pink girl.

If I let it turn to dust,
I could play it large and loud,
I've got havoc in my veins,
I'm just laying out my aim.

When I get to stir it up,
I forget I'm strong and proud,
And I go cruising down the lanes,
I'm dying to be entertained,
By a festival crowd,
By a festival crowd.

When I get to stir it up,
I forget I'm strong and proud,
And I go cruising down the lanes,
I'm dying to be entertained,
I'm dying to be entertained.

Curious yellow, Curious yellow.

If I let it turn to dust,
I could play it large and loud,
I've got havoc in my veins,
I'm just laying out my aim.

When I get to stir it up,
I forget I'm strong and proud
And I go cruising down the lanes,
I'm dying to be entertained by a festival crowd,
By a festival crowd.

If I'd never let you in,
If I'd never let you in.

If I let it turn to dust,
I could play it large and loud,
I've got havoc in my veins,
Pink girl with the blues.

Oh yeah,
Oh yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah.
Oh yeah,
Oh yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah.

Heh, this song has an interesting story behind it. It's based on a book (If anybody knows the name/author, please speak up! As I have a terrible membory for these things), where all kinds of drugs/social vices are a drug.

Pink is a classification for porn, and blue is for depressants. So basically, we get "Pink Girl with the Blues", or "Depressed porn star/Porn star on depressants".

Yellow is also a classifcation for a type of drug, but I forget which. Still, it's an amazing song in my view! :)

Um, I meant "All kinds of social vices/drugs" are a colour there... sorry for any confusion.

The book is Vurt by Jeff Noon. "Curious yellow" probably refers to the curious yellow feather the main character searches for...to turn his sister back to normal...from some kind of blob. Feathers, in the book are the different drugs.

Yeah...it's a very odd book.
