Teen Angst Lyrics

How fast we burn
How fast we cry
The more we learn
The more we die
The more we learn
The more we cry
How fast we burn
How fast we die
I hear the planet crying now
I hear the planet crying now

Call me an idiot or call me lame if you will, but I was listening to this song while speeding down the highway a month or so ago, and much like in Perks of Being a Wallflower, I felt infinite.

ThatGuyEd, you have just made me wanting to buy a car.. :)

im glad its was this band that turned teen feeling into music and words. teen feeling are perceived as... well.. immature, but this song and i have thought of a thesis on teen feelings: we are not clouded by the everyday worried of being an adult and getting too old while drifting from our feelings. our minds are unknowing but better understanding, since we are young and closer to our feelings

bullshit. step inside a high school or log onto facebook for just a few minutes then try and tell me again that teenagers (or any age group) are in touch with their feelings, while they're all busy going to parties and making fun of the other cliques because they choose to dress or have fun differently than their own clique does, all because of some primitive subconscious thought process that they're too stupid to recognize and overcome to realize that damn near every kid in the building is the exact same. teens may not have minds clouded by trivial adult...

But that´s not what it´s about. The immature or better innocent feeling, of childhood and teendom, is what the song is about, at least that´s what I make of it.

I wish every time someone was just trapped in this ......surreal moment.

That this song would immediately start playing no matter where they were at.

And they could fall in love with it like everyone on the planet -should- be doing.

This song has become the theme song for my friend's blog.

Many folks believe their days get so complicated because they have too much to do and never enough time to do it in. This song stops us to appreciate the little time we have to enjoy the moments that should mean the most to us. Especially our times in youth, when love is first discovered, and sends us flying through the universe, the way the song seems to be doing.

"I am so glad we're crying," the lyrics I hear in the end, is the appreciation someone has for having a soul.

The video for this song was beautiful, too. In the beggining, you can see the same exact seen of her getting into the boy's car as in Don't Save Us from the Flames.
