Body Lyrics
You’ve got to take your mind off him
But not with aspirins
You won’t
You won’t let your family in
Like smoke your body comes
Through the gaps in the urban slums
You try
You try to speak american
When you don’t know what you want
You end up finding that you haunt your own
Your own life
You’re the daylight ghost that creeps
You’re the empty city streets and I
And I see you
And those talkshows fill your days
Something is slipping away
Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a body
Your skin is cellophane
You know I feel the same
Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a body
When you make a cup of tea
You act like it’s alchemy
But it’s not
It’s not what you think it to be
Seeing everything as signs
Seeing everything as lines always
Always lying saying you’re fine
When you don’t know what you want
You end up finding that you haunt your own
Your own life
You’re the daylight ghost that creeps
You’re the empty city streets and I
And I see you
And those talkshows fill your days
Something is slipping away
Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a body
Your skin is cellophane
You know I feel the same
Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a body
When you don’t know what you want…
But not with aspirins
You won’t
You won’t let your family in
Like smoke your body comes
Through the gaps in the urban slums
You try
You try to speak american
When you don’t know what you want
You end up finding that you haunt your own
Your own life
You’re the daylight ghost that creeps

This is a cool song, but I don't really know what it's about. Really cant believe that no one else has posted. At first i thought it was about depression and insomnia, but who knows.....
I think the song is about being depressed over lost love ("You’ve got to take your mind off him, but not with aspirins") as well as being disconnected with those around you ("Always lying saying you’re fine, when you don’t know what you want. You end up finding that you haunt your own")
i think its a really sad song...i don't know if its about a lost love..for me its about living ur day everyday more and less the same...u don't see a meaning in ur life...and u feel bad because of that; for instance when he sings always lying saying that you're fine...the person in the song feels insecure, alone..like he/she wouldn't exist-->you don't have a body...u r on ur own, without family or friends... but i t also could be , it sounds strnage, about an immgrant who went to an other country looking for a etter life, but he end up without a job, alone and his family far away...so he tries his best speaking american and watching talkshows, because he has nothing to do...
Yeah! The Servant is way more than just Cells and this song proves it!
The first impression I got collectively from this whole song is that a girl is conforming to be just like everyone else, jumping on every new bandwagon that comes around. For instance "When you make a cup of tea, you act like it's alchemy" The person thiniks making tea is cool and asian, but it's just tea so stop trying to act cool. Thats what I get out of it.
