No Surprise Lyrics
Friday is when you left me
So I drank myself to sleep
And Sunday is when I wake up
Not to remember a thing
My friends all say the same thing
I don’t know my new girl too well
(I know) that all this lying gets to me
And no one seems to give a shit
(The way) she talks to every guy in the bar
(I guess) it should have raised some kind of alarm
Who would ever think I’d go and end up
Like all the other guys that she’d gone and fucked
Well it ain’t no surprise
That you’d turn me on and leave
It ain’t no surprise
That you’d turn it around on me
I don’t know why
You won’t give me what I need
It ain’t no surprise
That that bitch is leaving me
My friends are mean to me
They say I don’t break up too well
They know all this crying gets to me
And no one seems to give a shit
I know you want to so go on and say it
Just go on and say it
Well it ain’t no surprise
That you’d turn me on and leave
It ain’t no surprise
That you’d turn it around on me
I don’t know why
You won’t give me what I need
It ain’t no surprise
That that bitch is leaving me
So I drank myself to sleep
And Sunday is when I wake up
Not to remember a thing
I don’t know my new girl too well
(I know) that all this lying gets to me
And no one seems to give a shit
(I guess) it should have raised some kind of alarm
Who would ever think I’d go and end up
Like all the other guys that she’d gone and fucked
That you’d turn me on and leave
It ain’t no surprise
That you’d turn it around on me
I don’t know why
You won’t give me what I need
It ain’t no surprise
That that bitch is leaving me
They say I don’t break up too well
They know all this crying gets to me
And no one seems to give a shit
I know you want to so go on and say it
Just go on and say it
That you’d turn me on and leave
It ain’t no surprise
That you’d turn it around on me
I don’t know why
You won’t give me what I need
It ain’t no surprise
That that bitch is leaving me

I adore this song. What cd is it on?
It's off their new CD Gasoline that's to be released March 29th 2005.
I've heard most of the songs off the CD and they seem to all follow along the same story: breakup. It also seems like they're trying to move away from the Nickelback/Default comparisons.
This song is great. It is pretty self explanitory, he got played. GOOD TUNE!
Love this song. Heard it on the radio. And, yah, very breakup-y CD... These guys are good but... SOME variety is good, you know?
i love this song it really is a relatable song,i will say i did not like the first album cause it sounded way too much like nickleback and nickleback is terrible, but this new cd isnt nickleback influenced like the last one which is a good thing
It's no surprise that this is one the catchiest tunes I've heard in the last few months...that's why its popular. I hate it and yet I listen to it every once in a while. Does that make a good tune or just a screwed up mind? Either way, its no surprise I commented on it.
great song
this song rocks if u all live on delmarva and listen to 93.5 the real rock station then u know this song and it ROCKS its a very good song
Hint #8: This is a tough one...
If a straight line wind blows and knocks over a high pile of bread dough, then what the hell was the wind doing?
I can't stand these guys, even though I'm Canadian and so are they, but I love this song. It is just filled with so much emotion and is so simple in it's meaning that everyone can relate to it. They have a new sound with this album and it works.
