I Can't Hide From My Mind Lyrics
I've got my house surrounded
I know I'm in there
Come out with both my hands up
And don't make me come in and get me
Don't make me come in and get me
I can't hide from my mind
Though I try, try, try
I can't hide from my mind
And you know why
Running against the traffic
To find where I lost you
I'm catching up to the echos
And I hear your voice from the buildings
I hear your voice from the buildings
I can't hide from my mind
Though I try, try, try
I can't hide from my mind
And you know why
The bars are in my eyes
And kisses make you cry
Smiles turned out misleading
And memory's a lie
I've got my house surrounded
I know I'm in there
Come out with both my hands up
And don't make me come in and get me
Don't make me come in and get me
Don't make me come in and get me
I know I'm in there
Come out with both my hands up
And don't make me come in and get me
Don't make me come in and get me
Though I try, try, try
I can't hide from my mind
And you know why
To find where I lost you
I'm catching up to the echos
And I hear your voice from the buildings
I hear your voice from the buildings
Though I try, try, try
I can't hide from my mind
And you know why
And kisses make you cry
Smiles turned out misleading
And memory's a lie
I know I'm in there
Come out with both my hands up
And don't make me come in and get me
Don't make me come in and get me
Don't make me come in and get me

To me this song is about when you have something in your mind and you would want it to go away but for some reason or another it won't and the result is it's irritating the hell out of you.
It's like when you want sometihing, your mind (reason) screams "No you Fool!" And Emotion screams "Do it! doitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoit!"
My interpretation of this song is simply that a person can build up an idea or fantasy in their mind about the nature of their relationship with another person. The song addresses that point in which one decides to face reality and that the the bases of the fantasy -despite stemming from one's own mind- are acknowledged at last as a "lie."
