Come on everyone of you g.i's
You are the ones who can care
Speed on you wonderful dropouts
We`ll break the walls of this room in
Zoom along, superstar
All over the land
Move on music man
Come on everyone of you people
You ain`t got mud in your eyes
Tell everybody with hunger
Eat up the music tonight
Come on you`ll only get harder
I wanna get it to you
You are my life
You turn around in your zoot suit
Come on everyone of you preachers
You do the best that you can
Move on every one of you teachers
You do the best that you can
You are the ones who can care
Speed on you wonderful dropouts
We`ll break the walls of this room in
All over the land
Move on music man
You ain`t got mud in your eyes
Tell everybody with hunger
Eat up the music tonight
I wanna get it to you
You are my life
You turn around in your zoot suit
You do the best that you can
Move on every one of you teachers
You do the best that you can

The song "Zoom Club" was inspired by a club in Frankfurt, Germany. Burke retails that "Playing in Frankfurt at the Zoom Club, Americans used to turn up at this club which was used when the Vietnam war was on. They were off to Vietnam eventually, most of them. It was just one of those places, it was the last place before they all went to war." Tony Bourge added further that "it's where all the G.I.'s used to go. Hence the first couple of lines... 'Come on every one of you G.I's."
As for its lyrical meaning, the song speaks of the power and freedom music offers people. This actually goes well with its background, as soldiers and military personnel would love one last song to hear before they left to fight or die in the war.
This song used to make me feel like lost in some dirty dark highway bar...
This song is absolutely hypnotic. Crazy cryptic lyrics that I think are mostly about life moving forward at tremendous speed.
