Plastic Fantastic Lover Lyrics
Nothing but an electric sign
You could say she has an individual style
She's part of a colorful time
You wear cause you have no other
But I suppose no one knows
You're my plastic fantastic lover
Is nothin' but a used machine
Her aluminum finish, slightly diminished
Is the best I ever have seen
I'd never ever find another
I realize no one's wise
To my plastic fantastic lover
Her trapezoid thermometer taste
All the red tape is mechanical rape
Of the TV program waste
Science is mankind's brother
But all I see is drainin' me
On my plastic fantastic lover
defenetly about television adiction ........what a great song i feaken love it
There's a live version on "Bless Its Pointed Little Head" that absolutely kicks ass. Far superior to the studio version, IMO.
It was written by Marty Balin as an ode to his new stereo system, which was a novelty item at the time.
you are all away with it it is about grace slicks vibrater
@tony108509 I doubt Grace needed one. She admitted liaisons with the Entire Band Starting with Casady (Bass players are ALWAYS the hound dogs, LoL), EXCEPT Balin. Poor Marty.

I like the bass guitar on this song...very deep
@TidewaterHippie In my opinion, Jack Casady is one of the Top 5 Bassists ever. I saw him and Jorma in Hot Tuna and he plays Bass like most Lead Guitarists. He was often sought out by Hendrix, James Brown and others as their Go To guy on the F-clef.

According to Paul Kantner it's about your TV set. Awesome tune!

I think it's about people who are addicted to technology.Very relevant today.
A song about plastic people reminiscent of plastic man by the kinks.
